Practice JLPT is built on work other people gave away. This page names it, links it, and states the licence each piece is used under.

Stroke order

The animated stroke-order diagrams are not drawn here. Both sets come from open projects that made the hard part, the stroke geometry, freely reusable.

    Every kanji stroke-order diagram on the site, on the kanji pages and in the stroke player.

    The SVGs are stripped of their XML wrapper and restyled so the player can animate them; the stroke paths themselves are unchanged. Those reshaped files stay under the same share-alike licence.

The Japanese here that was not written for this site is real Japanese, published long enough ago to be out of copyright.
