Delete your Practice JLPT account
This page deletes your Practice JLPT account and every piece of study progress synced to our servers, for both the website and the Android and iOS apps. They all share one account, so deleting once removes it everywhere.
Delete it now, here
- Sign in below with the same Google account you use for Practice JLPT.
- Check that the email shown is the right one.
- Press Delete my account and confirm.
Loading the sign-in form… If it does not appear, JavaScript is blocked — use the email route below and we will delete the account for you.
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. If you only want to stop syncing, sign out instead — that leaves your account and progress intact.
Other ways to delete your account
In the app: open Practice JLPT, go to Home → Account → Delete Account, and confirm. This is the same deletion as above and takes effect immediately. It is the only route for accounts created with Sign in with Apple, because the website offers Google sign-in only.
By email: write to hello@practicejlpt.com from the address you signed in with. We will delete the account and all synced progress within 30 days of the request.
What is deleted, and what is kept
Deleted immediately, as soon as the deletion completes:
- Your Practice JLPT account itself — the sign-in record held in Firebase Authentication, including your account identifier, email address and display name.
- Your synced study progress — the single
users/<your account id>document in our database, holding item statuses, review dates, study history, visited pages and study-plan state. - Our record of any email we sent you — the welcome note from signing up, and the delivery bookkeeping that goes with it, including the address it was sent to. Removed automatically moments after the account goes, by a cleanup that runs on our servers.
Kept, because it is not part of your account:
- Data on your own device. Progress and your theme choice are also stored locally in your browser and in the app. Deleting your account does not reach into your device. To remove it, clear this site's data in your browser, and clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
- Aggregate analytics. Google Analytics records that pages and screens were used, with no name, email or account identifier attached, so it cannot be traced back to you or looked up by account. It is not deleted with your account and expires on Google's own retention schedule, within 14 months of collection.
- Email you have sent us. If you contacted hello@practicejlpt.com, that correspondence stays in our own mailbox. Ask us at hello@practicejlpt.com and we will delete it.
Beyond that we keep nothing: no backup copy of your account, your progress or your email address. See the privacy policy for everything Practice JLPT collects.
