孝 (filial piety, child's respect)

孝行こうこうしたいときに親おやはなし。

When one would be filial, one's parents are gone.

親孝行おやこうこうしたいときには親おやはなし。

By the time you wish to be a good son, your parents are long gone.

親おやが元気げんきなうちに孝行こうこうしておきなさい

You must be dutiful to your parents while they are still well.
