柳 — willow

柳やなぎの 枝えだに 雪折ゆきおれなし。

Oaks may fall when reeds stand the storm.

刈っても刈っても、また生い茂るという吾跡川の柳よ。

You are cut down again and again but you grow luxuriantly; A willow by the Atokawa river in Totomi.

追悼式では息子が喪主をつとめる. His son will represent the family at the memorial service.これをもって追悼の言葉と致します. With this I would end my parting address for the deceased.彼は無量の感慨をこめてその追悼の辞を書いた. He wrote the memorial address from the fullness of his heart.追悼文「柳君を憶ふ」を遺している。

He left the words, 'I think of Yanagi,' posthumously.
