紗 — gauze, gossamer

小風呂敷・手帛紗ともいう。

- Also called koburoshiki (a small furoshiki) or tefukusa.

熨斗袋で金封した上でなおかつ袱紗で包むという肌理細やかな心使いともといわれる。

It is also said to be a form of sensitive caring to enclose the gift with a noshi envelope and wrap it with fukusa.
