Sakura-masu ( Oncorhynchus masou ), known as masu or cherry hybrid salmon, is a species of salmon found in the northern part of the Pacific Ocean along East Asia. Yamame (ヤマメ) can refer to either an anadromous ( O. m. masou ) or non-anadromous subspecies ( O. m. macrostomus ). Another river residual subspecies is called amago (アマゴ, O. m. macrostomus ).
