What is Snow crab?
Zuwai-gani ( Chionoecetes opilio ) is one of the snow crabs. It is native to the northern Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. The Japanese season generally runs from Novermber 6 through December for females, and through March 20 for males. In Japan, these crabs are considered a winter delicacy. Their flesh is tender and sweet.
