脇見検出部２５は、画像領域毎に割り振られた脇見許容時間に基づいて、脇見検出を行う。

運転者の前方不注意での脇見を正確に検出することで、運転者の脇見状態に合わせた適切な警報を行うことにある。

また、脇見状態判定手段１２は、運転者が脇見をしている確率を算出し、算出した確率が閾値を超えた場合に運転者が脇見をしていると判定する。

The looking aside status determination means 12 computes a looking aside probability of the driver and determines that the driver is looking aside when the computed probability exceeds a threshold.

また、運転者の脇見を判断する画像プロセッサ２０に基づき、運転者の脇見を検出した際に、設定された警告レベルＬに基づいて、脇見を警告する。

When driver's inattentive driving is detected on the basis of an image processor 20 which detects that the driver is looking aside, the driver is warned against inattentive driving on the basis of the set warning level L.

脇見判定部２５は、視線方向又は顔向き方向が、記憶部２４に記憶された脇見方向領域内に脇見判定時間に亘って含まれる場合に、運転者が脇見状態であると判定する。

The inattentive driving decision part 25 decides that the driver is in the inattentive driving state when the view line direction or the face direction is included in an inattentive driving direction area stored in the storage part 24 over an inattentive driving decision time.

脇見警報装置１０は、運転者の注視あるいは脇見が、視線方向のみに拠る状態（視線注視）であるか、顔向き方向に拠る状態（顔向き注視）であるかを判定する注視判定部２３及び脇見判定部２５を備える。

An inattentive driving alarm device 10 includes a gaze decision part 23 and an inattentive driving decision part 25 deciding whether a gaze or inattentive driving of the driver is a state depending on only a view line direction (a view line gaze) or a state depending on a face direction (a face direction gaze).
