本館 (honkan)

かつては京都府庁きょうとふちょう庁舎ちょうしゃ本館ほんかんとして使用しようされた。

In the past, it was used as the head office of the Kyoto Prefectural government.

設計は、京都府庁旧本館等を設計した松室重光。

It was designed by Shigemitsu MATSUMURO, who also designed including the former building of Kyoto Prefectural Office.

また、本館と新館は地下道で結ばれるようになる。

In addition, the Original Museum Building was connected with the New Wing through an underground passage.
