萎む[しぼむ] (shibomu)

庭にわのバラがしぼんでしまった

The roses in the garden have withered.

花はながしぼんだ。

The flowers withered up.

花はなは 切きられるとすぐにしぼむ。

Flowers soon fade when they have been cut.

暑あつさ 続つずきでその 植物しょくぶつはしぼんでしまった。

The long spell of hot weather withered up the plants.

そして萎む花が匂いだけを残すかのように彼女は消え、夜明けの鐘とともに僧は目覚めるのだった。

Then she disappears like withering flower leaving only its scent behind, and the monk wakes up with the toll of dawn.

これを五衰（天人五衰）と称し、体が垢に塗れて悪臭を放ち、脇から汗が出て自分の居場所を好まなくなり、頭の上の花が萎む。

These changes are called Gosui (Tenjin Gosui) and when such changes occur, they stink with their body being covered in grime, they sweat from the underarms, they become less fond of the place where they reside and flowers on their heads wither.

第１の移動筒１６のカメラ正面側には、レンズ鏡筒１０が延び出すと空気が入れられて膨らみ、レンズ鏡筒１０が後退すると空気が引き抜かれて萎むフード４８が設けられている。

In the front side of the camera, the 1st movable barrel 16 is provided with a hood 48 which is swollen by air pressure when the lens barrel 10 begins to extend and is contracted by withdrawal of the air when the lens barrel 10 retreats.
