葦 (yoshi)

河原かわはらに 葦あしが 茂しげっている

Reeds grow thickly in the river bed.

人間にんげんは 考かんがえる 葦あしである。

Man is a thinking reed.

古事記では宇摩志阿斯訶備比古遅神、日本書紀では可美葦牙彦舅尊と表記する。

It is written Umashiashikabihikoji no Kami (

宇摩志阿斯訶備比古遅神) in Kojiki (The Records of Ancient Matters), and Umashiashikabihikoji no Mikoto (可美葦牙彦舅尊) in Nihonshoki (Chronicles of Japan).前出のように舎脂は帝釈天に嫁いだため、帝釈天の舅にあたる。

As described above, Sachi married Taishakuten and it is the father-in-law.
