主権しゅけん (shuken)

この国くにでは国民こくみんが主権しゅけん者しゃだ

The people are the rulers in this country.

主権しゅけんは人民じんみんにある。

国家主権説は君主主権説とも国民主権説ともにおいて両立する。

The state sovereignty theory balances between the monarch sovereignty and the popular sovereignty.

この意味での主権は、国家主権説でいうところの主権とは意味が全く異なっている点に注意されたい。

It is necessary to be careful because the word sovereign power used in this mean is totally different from that for the state sovereignty theory.
