お元気ですか。私は今、北の町にいます。ここは毎日とても寒いです。昨日から雪が降っています。窓から外を見ると、山も木も白いです。
朝は七時に起きて、初めに窓を開けます。冷たい風が部屋に入ります。それから、熱いお茶を飲んで、新聞を読みます。
この町の人はみんな元気です。近くの店のおばあさんは、いつも「今日も寒いですね」と言って、笑います。私はその店で、毎日パンと卵を買います。
昼から、よく町を歩きます。川の橋の上から、大きい山が見えます。写真をたくさん撮りました。今度、山田さんに見せたいです。
来月、東京へ帰ります。その時、一緒に晩御飯を食べませんか。駅の前においしい店があります。
では、また手紙を書きます。

Dear Yamada,
How are you? I am in a town in the north now. It is very cold here every day. It has been snowing since yesterday. When I look outside from the window, the mountains and the trees are all white.
I get up at seven in the morning and open the window first. Cold wind comes into the room. Then I drink hot tea and read the newspaper.
The people in this town are all cheerful. The old woman at the shop nearby always says, "Cold again today, isn't it," and laughs. I buy bread and eggs at that shop every day.
From midday I often walk around the town. From the bridge over the river you can see a big mountain. I have taken a lot of photographs. I would like to show them to you next time.
I am going back to Tokyo next month. Shall we have dinner together then? There is a good restaurant in front of the station.
Well then, I will write again.
