その後書きにはこう記されている。

後書きには『武蔵国狭山丘陵に於いて書く』との記述がある。

There is a mention saying "I have written this in Sayama hills, Musashi Province" in the afterword.

しかし、広く世に知られているのはこの作品よりもむしろ、尋常ならざる図画への意欲を著した跋文（後書き）である。
