第二十一条　本邦に在留する外国人は、現に有する在留資格を変更することなく、在留期間の更新を受けることができる。

この場合において、外交、公用及び永住者の在留資格以外の在留資格に伴う在留期間は、三年（特定活動（別表第一の五の表の下欄ニに係るものを除く。
