も (mo)

Meaning & usage

も marks something as included in addition to something else, meaning too, also or likewise in affirmatives such as ジェーンも or あなたも. It attaches to nouns and pronouns, where it replaces は, が or を rather than following them, and to question words such as 何, だれ and どこ. With question words it must pair with a negative verb to stress not even one, so 何も means nothing, どこも means nowhere and だれも means nobody or neither person.
