に (ni)

Meaning & usage

The particle に marks the person affected by an action, the receiver of something brought or given, or the agent in passive and causative sentences. It follows a noun, as in きみに and 誰に. It also appears in set expressions like いいのに, expressing a wish.

   It's because you don't want to be alone.
