Meaning & usage

いくら is an interrogative used to ask the price of an item or service, or the amount of money, time, or quantity involved. It is often used as いくらですか or いくらだった with past tense, and with verbs such as かかる in いくらかかりますか to ask about a required cost. For an approximate figure, add くらい as in いくらくらい, and in polite customer service speech おいくらですか may be heard.
