Meaning & usage
The particle に marks a target or destination, attaching to a noun. It appears after nouns to indicate the person or thing something is directed at, as in きみに and 誰に, and combines with verbs like なる to show what someone becomes. It also appears in set expressions such as いいのに to express a wish.
