に (ni)

Meaning & usage

The particle に marks the indirect object, the person or thing that receives an action, as in きみに...もってきた (brought to you). It also appears in set patterns like 誰にでも (to anyone) and いいのに (I wish), where it follows nouns or plain forms depending on the pattern.
