Meaning & usage
ましょう makes a polite suggestion or offer, meaning let's do something together or shall I do something for you. It attaches to the masu-stem of a verb, as in 休みましょう from 休みます and 作りましょう from 作ります. It is polite spoken and written style, and adding か, as in 歩きましょうか, makes the invitation or offer softer and more consultative.
