少ない・すくない (nai sukunai)

Meaning & usage

少ない is an i-adjective meaning that a quantity or number is small. It follows the particle が (or は) and is often used with comparisons like より, as in 人口が少ない. It can also end a sentence in its plain form, as in ごく少ない.
