A particle which marks a quotation, sound or the manner in which someone/something does something.

Notes

バタバタ - flapping, rattling (sound), noisily, clattering noise

しっかり(と) - (as an adverb taking the `to' particle): tightly (holding on), firmly, securely

むっつり(と) - (as an adverb taking the `to' particle) sullenly, taciturnly, morosely, gloomily, silently
