に (ni)

Meaning & usage

The particle に marks the target or destination of an action, as in bringing something to someone or becoming something. It also appears in set patterns like にでも (anyone) and いいのに (I wish). It follows nouns and attaches after verbs in plain form in the にたい pattern.
