Meaning & usage
The particle に marks a direction, target, or recipient: it can point toward a state (一人になる), indicate the person receiving something (きに持ってきた), or attach to verbs and phrases for wishes (いいのに) and emphasis with も (誰にでも). It follows nouns and plain-form phrases depending on the pattern.
