の無さ・のなさ (no sa nonasa)

の無さ (or のなさ) turns the negative adjective 無い into a noun, letting you talk about the absence or shortage of something. Attach it to a noun with の, as in 経験の無さ or 常識の無さ. It often appears when criticizing or commenting on how little of something someone has.
