Meaning & usage
（と言）ったらない expresses an extreme degree beyond description and emphasizes a speaker's very strong feeling about a state or experience. It follows plain i-adjectives as in 暑いったらない, na-adjectives with だ as in 不安だと言ったらない, and verbs in the past た-form as in 疲れたったらない. Despite containing ない, it is not negative in meaning and sounds emphatic and conversational, used for complaints but also for positive reactions.
