Meaning & usage
ひいては is an adverb that links two related things, showing that the first leads to or extends to the second, often something broader or more serious. It follows a noun (or a noun phrase) and is placed before the second item, as in 日本国内、ひいては世界. It can also mean 'even' when extending a list to an extreme case, as in 犯罪まで.
