Meaning & usage
はいいとしても concedes that one point is acceptable in order to set up a stronger objection to a different point. It is used when the speaker tolerates A but finds B unacceptable, often to complain or criticize. It follows a noun with は, as in 残業はいいとしても, or a verb or adjective clause nominalized with の, as in 高いのはいいとしても, and the main clause that follows expresses the problem.
