Meaning & usage
また means once more or again for a repeated event, and also, too, likewise, or in addition when adding similar information. In negative clauses it corresponds to not ... either, and at the start of a clause it links ideas like and. It is an adverb that does not conjugate and normally comes before the verb phrase, with common patterns including もまた, farewells like またね, and またの + noun for another occasion.
