ように (youni)

Meaning & usage

ように works adverbially to say that something happens or appears like something else, as in running like the wind or looking like someone finished eating. It follows plain-form verbs and also appears after する in requests like ようにしてください, meaning please make sure to do something.

1. またいつか風かぜのように走はしるんだ。

   Someday I'll run like the wind.

2. 音が大きい方が、がしがし仕事してるように見えるという人と、うるさいだけって言う人いますよね。
