それなら (sorenara)

Meaning & usage

それなら means in that case or if that is so, and is used to introduce a decision, offer, or judgment that follows from what the other person said. It stands alone at the start of a sentence, usually followed by a comma as in それなら、..., and the rest of the sentence can be any polite or casual statement. It is neutral and common in conversation, but it must respond to previous information and cannot start a completely new topic.
