Meaning & usage
かろう is the volitional form of adjectives, expressing a conjecture that something probably is or will be a certain way. It attaches to the adjective stem: な-adjectives and nouns take であろう→なかろう/よかろう patterns, while i-adjectives drop い and add かろう (難しかろう). It is a formal, written-style expression.
