てもても (temotemo)

Meaning & usage

てもても is the pattern ても repeated, as in 寝てもさめても or 来ても来なくても, to stress that something holds no matter how much an action is repeated or whether it happens or not. It attaches to the te-form of verbs (and adjectives), pairing the same verb twice with ても in between.
