につき (nitsuki)

Meaning & usage

につき follows a noun and has two related formal uses. With quantities like 一日につき or 一人につき it means per or for each, stating a rate or limit. With abstract nouns like その件につき or その点につきましては it means concerning or regarding, often to introduce an official statement or reply. It is common in business, announcements, and written notices rather than casual conversation.
