につき (nitsuki)

Meaning & usage

につき attaches to a noun and has two uses: after a quantity or time word it means per unit, as in one day per seven hours of sleep, and after a topic noun it means concerning or regarding that matter, often in the polite extended form につきまして used in formal speech and writing.
