並み (mi)

Meaning & usage

並み attaches to a noun and means that something is on the same level as, or matches, that noun. It can modify a following noun directly (プロ並みだ, 真冬並みの寒さ) or take に to work adverbially with a verb (ネイティブ並みに話せる).
