Meaning & usage
故に・ゆえに expresses a cause or a logical conclusion, meaning because of or therefore. It follows nouns, often with the particle の before ゆえに, and 故に can stand alone as a sentence-level therefore. The form is literary and formal, common in written or logical contexts.
