限り (ri)

Meaning & usage

限り follows verbs (plain form) or the phrase に関する to mark a limit or extent. With に関する限り it means 'as far as X is concerned,' and with a verb like できる or 生きている it means 'as long as' or 'to the fullest extent possible.'
