Meaning & usage
だって attaches to nouns to mean too, also, or even, like ママだって or ギターだって, and adds emphasis that the noun is an unexpected or additional case. With question words such as 何だって, 誰だって, and いつだって it means any or every, as in whatever, whoever, and whenever. It is colloquial and common in speech, so でも or も is preferred in formal writing.
