点（で） (de)

Meaning & usage

点（で）marks a specific aspect or respect in which a statement holds, similar to "in terms of" or "in the respect of". It follows a noun, often with の before it, and commonly appears in the patterns 点では and その他の点では. It is used to single out one aspect while commenting on the whole.
