Meaning & usage
からして marks a piece of evidence or a representative detail as the basis for a speaker's judgment about the whole. It is often used to express an impression, evaluation, or prediction, as in 匂いからして or 態度からして. It follows a noun or noun phrase directly, with no change to the noun, and the main clause gives the speaker's subjective conclusion rather than a neutral logical result.
