としては (toshiteha)

Meaning & usage

としては attaches to a noun and expresses a viewpoint or role from which something is judged, like "for a professional" or "as for me". It often follows pronouns such as 私 to state one's own position, and it can also appear after the volitional form in the pattern ようとしてはいけない.
