ことは (kotoha)

Meaning & usage

ことは turns a clause into a noun phrase, letting a plain-form sentence act as the subject or object of what follows, as in acknowledging a fact or commenting on it. It follows plain-form verbs and な-adjective/noun predicates; with ことはない it means there is no need or it is not the case.
