Meaning & usage
何でも is an indefinite expression meaning anything or everything, used to say that no exception exists. It follows nouns and noun phrases, as in 何でも知っている or 何でもかんでも, and often appears with conditional phrases like 〜なら. It can also introduce hearsay, meaning they say or I'm not sure but, though the examples here mainly show the anything sense.
