Meaning & usage

の関係で expresses that something happens owing to or on account of a particular circumstance, such as 仕事の関係で or 予算の関係で. It attaches to a noun with の, forming N + の関係で, and is followed by a clause describing the result. It sounds formal and indirect, so it is common in announcements and business explanations when the speaker avoids stating a direct cause.
