からと言って

Meaning & usage

Just because; even if; even though | A conjunction which introduces the reason for someone's action or for someone's having some idea, and conveys disapproval of the action or idea.

1. こんなことを言うからと言って別に批判しているわけではない。

   Even though I tell you such a thing, it doesn't mean that I'm criticizing you.

2. アメリカへ行ったからと言って勝手に英語が上手になるものではない。

   Your English is not something that will improve (by itself / automatically) just by going to America.

3. 上司の命令だからと言って黙って従うわけにはいかない。

   I cannot obey the order without asking questions even if it is from my boss.
