ようでは (youdeha)

Meaning & usage

ようでは follows a verb in plain form (often with ようだ meaning 'seems') and introduces a situation whose continuation would be bad, so the main clause states what must or must not be done. It carries a negative implication, warning that things cannot go on that way.
