Meaning & usage
～やら～やら lists two or more items as representative examples of a larger, often messy or overwhelming set. It conveys the idea of what with A and B or A, B and so on, frequently to give multiple causes or reasons for a result. Nouns attach directly as in 風やら雨やら, while verbs and i-adjectives use their plain forms as in 暑いやら and むしむしするやら, often followed by で. The tone is conversational and slightly complaining, and it pairs naturally with 何やら to mean and whatnot.
