Meaning & usage
ながらも expresses that something holds true although the subject remains in a limited or unexpected state, as in 素人ながらも or 小さい会社ながらも. It attaches directly to nouns and to na-adjectives, with no だ or な in between. The も is optional and adds concessive emphasis, so ながら alone carries the same basic meaning. It is common in formal writing and speeches to humbly acknowledge status while stating a contrasting fact.
